Rotarians Support Macmillan Coffee Day in Style

Members of Bournemouth North Rotary spent a day in the sun in October collecting for Macmillan Caring Locally which is based at Christchurch Hospital.

Each year Macmillan Nursing hold a “National Coffee Morning” when thousands of big and small gatherings are held around the country to enjoy a Cup of Coffee or Tea and probably a slice of cake.

In our area we support Macmillan Caring Locally, who do such amazing work helping people with all sorts of life limiting problems, together with operating the Macmillan Unit Hospice at Christchurch Hospital.

For the 4th successive year Bournemouth North Rotary manned the seafront location at Branksome, offering everyone strolling along the promenade a free cup of coffee or tea (and a biscuit of course) and inviting them to make a donation to this amazing charity.

Although under no obligation the good people of Bournemouth and Poole were only too happy to support our efforts and over £200 was raised.

Rotarians Sue Slade and John Spurgeon. Early Starters at the Macmillan Coffee Collection at Branksome.
