With the school summer holidays now upon us the demand on Food Banks all around the country has increased dramatically and the one in Kinson is no exception. Many children in the area are reliant on school meals during term time and when the schools break up for the long break these are no longer available and consequently demand at the food bank goes up.

Over 700 food items donated to Kinson Food Bank by BNRC

So the Rotary Club of Bournemouth North have been please to step in at this difficult time with a donation of over 700 food items costing £500.00 to support the Kinson Food Bank. People all over the area kindly donate food items throughout the year but there are many items that sometimes get forgotten and so the Rotary Club were happy to discuss the immediate needs with Manager Jon Fewtrell and to act swiftly to keep things ticking over.
